要等到何時

我年青時，主曾這樣問我：能否捨身，背十架跟從我？ 我低聲回答：現在未是時候，時機一到我會願意。 我年長時，主曾再次問我：多年已過，你要等到何時？ 我高聲回答：現在未是時候，時機一到我會願意。 我已渡過了數十寒暑，時機已錯過千百萬次， 我要等到何時，才可說我願意，我還要我主再問幾次？ 我年老時，主慈聲告訴我：你知不知，你已時日無多。 我微聲回答：現在已經太遲，我靈枯乾不能侍主。 我但願回答：現在未是太遲，撇下一切跟隨我主。 [ Wait Until When ] When I was young, my Lord has once asked me: "Can you give up all things to follow me?" I whispered to Him: "Now is not yet the time. When it is time I'd say I will." When I grow up, my Lord again asked me: "Some years have gone, you will wait until when?" I loudly answered: "Now is not yet the time. When it is time I'd say I will." I have been through so many decades, million chances have just passed me by. I have to wait till when, before I'd say I will. How much longer my Lord has to wait? When I am old, my Lord gently told me: "Are you aware you don't have too much time." I weakly reply: "It is too late by now. My soul is too dry to serve Thee." I rather reply: "Now is still not too late. I'd leave all things to follow Thee."
